BREEZE
A gentle breeze just fluttered by.
I sat and watched as others cry.
They cry to morn a loss so deep.
A love one lies in eternal sleep.
But I could not seem to shed a tear,
No sorrows felt,
No thoughts so dear.
For you see my time is due,
The breeze is me as I pass through you.
So if times feel hard,
Or when the toll man spies,
Just think of me and I’ll be by.
As the stars that etch the sky,
I am always near,
No need to cry.
